When I started reading about the average lifespan of a football player I was mostly shocked on how they only live up to there 50’s. All former NFL players pay the price for playing the game. Even though they have top of the line trainer, doctors and equipment they still go through ruff contact. "I decided it was more important to be able to spend quality time with my friends and family and function and communicate normally when I'm 45 than to win a Super Bowl ring," said Burris, 33. Playing this sport is not easy as many people know but what many people don’t know is that this people who make it far enough to play in the NFL are bound to have problems when they age. Most NFL players might do it for the sport, family, or money for whatever reason they know the consequences. If you look in to their world they are more than professional athletes, they are also husbands and fathers that have a different life style then the average Joe, and in to choosing this path is a big choice to make but a choice they will choose with pride to go on and tell their kids how they played in the NFL.
